Seeding, advancement and final places in FPV racing brackets under FAI, FGDR, FASR and MultiGP rules.
Final places
This is an educational diagram, not race results: # identifies qualification rank; the number on the left of a group row is the assumed stage result. Example results are predefined, all pilots finish; points, penalties and ties are not simulated. A label such as “1 / R2” means advancement from first place in R2. Σ is the sum of qualification ranks: lower numbers mean higher seeds. This is an illustrative measure of group strength, not a measurement of pilot speed.

FAI F9U, V2 effective 1 June 2026, §6.4–6.7 and Annex B/C. The top two advance. Single elimination is shown with a small final: §6.5.1 allows, but does not require it. Double 16 has no small final.
1–4: final stage result. Without Double: 5–8 from the small final; 9–16 and 17–32 by qualification within each elimination round. Double 16: 5/6 are 3rd/4th in R13; 7/8 are 3rd/4th in R11; 9–12 are those eliminated from R9/R10 by qualification; 13–16 from R5/R6. The final is a single race or an announced series until two wins. In a series, 2–4 use the lowest sum of places, with the last race breaking ties. The series option does not apply to the small final.
The June 2026 FAI tables do not have equal seed sums: C.1 puts #10 in R3 and #11 in R4; B.1 also differs from a conventional snake. The numbers shown here preserve the source tables.
